Clairette de Die originates from the Rhône Valley, more precisely from the Drôme Valley and the Diois region in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, south of the city of Valence. The Diois region is the origin of the name "Clairette de Die." Clairette is the name of one of the grape varieties used to produce Clairette de Die. It is a white sparkling wine produced with Muscat blanc à petits grains and Clairette grape varieties. Clairette de Die is composed of at least 75% Muscat blanc. The integration of Clairette blanche reduces the sweet taste of the wine and makes it finer on the palate. Clairette de Die is therefore a sparkling wine whose grape varieties grow in a temperate climate with mountainous relief at 700 meters altitude.
